Join us for
the 3rd annual Celebrate 1838 on June 2nd and 3rd, 2007 in historic
Metamora, Indiana.
Celebrate 1838 is a celebration of Metamora's 19th century history. The
time periods represented are frontier, canal construction, and canal
operation. It is held annually in the town of Metamora. Metamora is nine
miles west of Brookville, Indiana on US 52.
Participants reenact
events that took place during Metamora's early days. Artist and
craftsmen demonstrate arts, crafts, and trades of the period. Enjoy music,
children's activities, story tellers, local food, and local traditions. Experience the
sights, smells, and sounds of life in the 1800's.

is held in the Town of Metamora. Metamora is a quaint historic town on the
banks of the Whitewater Canal in southeastern Indiana.
Parking: Ample parking is
available at the front of the town on the south side of US 52. Free parking is located
across from Metamora on the north side of US 52 and at State parking areas.
